4 FTE PTF4 $121,332 = $48,532.80 The School of Psychology and Clinical Psychology Programme recognises the importance of Mori psychology and training Clinical Psychologists who can appropriately meet the needs of Mori clients and communities in Aotearoa/New Zealand. The Clinical Programme is committed to increasing Mori student numbers to 50% of the cohort in order to meet workforce shortages.
Accordingly, we are working to develop and implement indigenous psychological knowledge, te reo, tikanga, and Mtauranga Mori within the Clinical Psychology curriculum and clinical placements. The purpose of this position is to support the successful progress of Mori students through the programme with a focus on applied clinical practice and teaching. The Professional Teaching fellow will provide clinical supervision to students practicing in the Psychology Clinic, coordinate and teach in the Interview Skills course and assist in the coordination and liaison associated with 12-week community placements for Mori and other students.
You will be expected to deliver the following: Design of teaching materials Teaching and Learning Assessment, marking and timely feedback Supervision of students in the clinic Effective communication and involvement with initiatives Leadership, including course coordination Essential Qualifications and Knowledge include: PhD in Psychology/Doctor of Clinical Psychology Registration as a clinical psychologist in Aotearoa/NZ with a current practicing certificate. Supervision and Teaching experience Knowledge of the use of technologies to support learning and teaching; specifically, Microsoft Teams, Canvas, and Zoom.
